Background
inShape is made up of 7 Hackney charities that work with residents of the borough of hackney who are aged over fifty . We, between us, have a total of 124 years experience of working locally with older people.
In 2004 we decided we could improve what we offer to our service users if we work together more formally , and with funding through the Big Lottery inShape was created , to help us all reach every corner of the borough and to make the most of our services.
Together we are working to create local, affordable opportunities for people over 50 in Hackney to live healthy, active and rewarding lives.
inShape is funded by The Big Lottery Fund until December 2008
Through inShape we provide benefits advice; complementary therapies, creative sessions, exercise classes; health awareness sessions home safety checks, social sessions and we can link you in with our agencies other services.(see Services you can book and whats on this week for more details )
