New Classes to prevent Osteoporosis and Falls

InShape Christmas Day Dinner for older people.  
inShape held a successful Christmas Day Dinner for older people for the second year running.  Supported by Hackney Parochial Charities, Coutts, Invesco Perpetual, Our Lady &  St Joseph's   Church , with volunteers driving,  cooking, serving and entertaining  with a bit of audience participation it made Christmas day a pleasure for people who may otherwise have felt lonely.

Black History Month Celebrations
African and Caribbean Dance Extravangza.   The over 50's from Wayside, The Sharp End and other people living in Hackney  together celebrated the black history month.  The day was full of dance, music, folk song, story telling, fashion show and delicious food from the carribean.  More than 60 people attended the event and look forward to another one next year.


Hidden Garden launched.  An intergenerational project between the Sharp End; Holy Trinity primary school, The Geffyre Museum and the London Metropolitan University, funded by Groundworks was launched on the 23rd of June 2007.  Meg Hillier, MP, opened the garden at the inShape Community Day.

The Garden can be viewed at 11 Richmond Road, E8 3HY 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.  Headliners made a film of the launch of the garden.
